I'm so happy that you're here!
I'm Sharon, and I reside in Columbus, Ohio.
A bit of a perfectionist, I've always enjoyed studying and practicing realism in my work. I'm drawn to the challenge of working in a variety of styles and mediums to keep myself guessing.
In my freelance work, I am most often commissioned for hand-lettering (you may see my work around town at multiple Brassica locations (Short North, Bexley, Upper Arlington and Cleveland), Mezzo, Wine on High, Northstar (Liberty Center and Beechwold locations), and illustration (featured in many issues of edible Columbus, and I also illustrated a children’s book)! Plus, some fun miscellaneous fine art and design projects - including custom pet portraiture!
Though, at the end of the day my heart lies with painting. I’m looking forward to creating more personal work in 2019. Stay tuned!
Where did you go to school?
I'm a 2013 Magna Cum Laude (ohhhh, you fancy, huh?) graduate of the Columbus College of Art & Design, with a BFA in Fine Art and a minor in Art Therapy.
What type of freelance do you do?
I welcome opportunities for commission in the areas of: painting, drawing, illustration, hand lettering and branding. If you are interested in commissioning me for a project, shoot me an email!
Is freelancing your full-time job?
It's not, actually! Full time, I am the Creative Manager at The Buzz Maker! Public Relations, a boutique PR firm with a passion for social enterprise, non-profits, woman-owned business, craft coffee and beer, and vegetarian/vegan food! We help the helpers and assist businesses making a positive impact.
If you live around town, you may see me around Harvest Pizzeria where I work as well. (I like to keep busy, ya know? Plus...🍕).
What do you charge for your work?
It depends on what you're looking for! Right now, the only area I'm offering a set price for is custom pet portraiture to keep it simple. For most everything else, I charge an hourly rate. Send me an email (email@example.com) with your questions and we can discuss further!
