About the book

The Labradoodle Who Lost His Doodle follows Joey, a popular dog with a fashion blog, as he prepares for his school's fashion show. Joey is part Labrador and part Poodle - with the poodle part of him being his hip, curly looking doodle on top of his head. One morning, Joey awakens to find that he has grown quite a bit and his doodle is GONE! Feeling self-conscious and sad, Joey is afraid that people will no longer love him, but with the help of his Ma, and some close friends, he realizes that he is so much more than what's on the outside.

The Labradoodle Who Lost His Doodle is a wonderful, inclusive story for young children.

Instead of letting my fur decide who I should be, I’ve decided I’m just going to let myself be me.

A bit of backstory:
Isabel and I were elementary school friends but fell out of touch when I changed schools in 5th grade. [Enter social media] We reconnected via: Facebook sometime in High School or College which is where I learned about Isabel's passion for writing, and she discovered my passion for art. We started talking about The Labradoodle Who Lost His Doodle, based on Isabel's childhood family dog, Joey, back in 2015 and the rest is history!
